MUSCAT: The main moon sighting committee will meet on Wednesday to determine the first day of Eid Al Fitr in Oman, May 12, the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs said.
In a statement issued, the Ministry said: “We call on citizens and residents to investigate the sighting of the crescent, by adhering to the instructions issued by the Supreme Committee.”
If the new crescent Moon of Shawwal is seen, the end of Ramadan will be confirmed and Eid Al Fitr will begin the following day.
