MUSCAT: Oman has expressed its solidarity with the Palestinian people and its firm commitment to support their demands for freedom and independence.
Addressing the Arab League meeting Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi said the Sultanate stands with the people of Palestine and condemned the Israeli attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the sanctity of the holy places in this holy month.
“The Sultanate salutes the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle, and calls for the achievement of peace based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution,” Sayyid Badr said in his speech.

The Arab League is holding an emergency meeting among its foreign ministers, at the request of Palestine, which was supported by a number of Arab countries.
The session aimed to discuss the Israeli attacks in the occupied city of Jerusalem, the Islamic and Christian holy sites, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque, and plans to force Palestinian families out of their homes, particularly in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
