MUSCAT: 1.4 million expatriate workers are employed in the country, Oman’s Ministry of Labour said in its Q1 report for 2021.
In the report, the Ministry said 1,144,185 workers are employed in the country of which 604,163, work in the Muscat Governorate.
Last year, 272,126 foreign workers left the country due the coronavirus pandemic, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
