MUSCAT: All flights that are now coming to Oman are pre-scheduled, according to a top official at Ministry of Social Development.
With the Supreme Committee imposing an indefinite travel ban from 14 countries including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and UK, the Muscat International Airport are receiving flights that are already scheduled.
“Muscat airport usually receives approximately 80 flights (both arrivals and departures)
with around 2,500 to 3,000 passengers,” said Hammoud bin Muhammad Al Mandhari, Relief and Shelter Sector Coordinator. As of now, Omani citizens, diplomats, health staff and their families are exempted from the restrictions. “All passengers who enter the Sultanate are subject to the decisions of the Supreme Committee, including undergoing PCR tests at the airport, institutional quarantine, and another PCR test on the eighth day,” he informed.

Currently, 11,86 people are in institutional quarantine, as of April 25, in 609 shelter centers across the Sultanate.
