MUSCAT : Oman’s oldest and leading dairy products and beverages brand A’Safwah, part of Dhofar Cattle Feed Company SAOG, has bolstered its distribution fleet with refrigerated trucks from Isuzu – an international bestseller in the transportation of temperature-sensitive food products and perishables.
The new acquisitions build on the popular dairy brand’s longstanding relationship with Vehicle Leasing Company (VLC),the vehicle leasing arm of OTE Group of Companies, a prominent Omani business house that counts Isuzu among its prestigious portfolio of exclusively distributed automotive, electronics and other consumer brands.
“Our relationship with VLC, spanning over two decades, is evident of their unmatched success in providing cost-effective leasing solutions that have helped A’Safwah fully address its climate-controlled transportation requirements.”, the Dhofar Cattle Feed (DCF) said in a statement.

For Dhofar-based A’Safwah, one of Oman’s best-known local dairy brands, maintaining the quality of its chilled dairy & beverages products from its modern farm in Salalah to distribution outlets around the Sultanate is critical to its commercial success. This robust commitment to quality is also reflected across its dairy farming and processing operations, which are certified to various ISO standards.
Committed to serve thousands of households in Oman with fresh and high quality products, A’Safwah recently took delivery of a fleet of more than 35 brand-new Isuzu trucks on lease from VLC. Fitted with refrigeration systems from Carrier Transicold, a global industry leader in land transportation refrigeration solutions, the trucks offer an optimal, yet competitive, transport solution to the dairy brand.
Furthermore, the Isuzu fleet is meticulously maintained at regular intervals at OTE Group’s high-tech workshops, thus ensuring hassle-free services to A’Safwah for the duration of the arrangement.
Established in 1983, the A’Safwah brand now encompasses a diverse range of milk, dairy, fruit juices and nectars, and related products that reach over 10,000 distribution outlets including institutional customers through its 8 depots across the Sultanate.
“Temperature control is indispensable to maintaining the quality and shelf life of our products. Hence, our decision to partner with VLC in the delivery of high-spec refrigerated trucks that are immaculately maintained to operate in the demanding climate conditions and terrain that we encounter in Oman,” Dhofar Cattle Feed (DCF) further stated.
Rajesh Nair, VLC, added: “Isuzu, unquestionably the world’s No. 1 commercial truck, together with Carrier Transicold, the globally preferred refrigeration transportation brand, make for a winning combination in the price and quality-conscious perishables transportation business. Our cost-effective leasing solution, underpinned by these two impeccable brands, ticked all of the boxes for A’Safwah.”
