MUSCAT: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, represented by Madayn Industrial Academy, organised a virtual workshop on the ‘Importance of Change Management in Digital Transformation’ as part of a series of programmes held to develop the skills of the human cadres in Madayn’s various industrial cities. Moderated by Laila Al Hadhrami, Senior Executive – Digital Transformation at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, the workshop featured several topics including the concept of change management and its importance to organisations and individuals, causes of resistance to change within organisations and among individuals, and popular change management models and methodologies.
Al Hadhrami pointed out during the workshop that one of the key objectives of change management is to develop the organisations’ practices through introducing advanced strategies at work, adopting creative problem-solving approaches, and making optimal use of expertise and teamwork to achieve the desired goals.
It is worthwhile mentioning that Madayn Industrial Academy was established in 2019 to offer training opportunities for the national cadres to enhance administrative, financial and technical skills, raise their productivity, provide value adding services to the investors in the industrial cities, and provide new job opportunities for the national cadres. Madayn aims through the academy to develop the skills of the national cadres through providing scientific and practical training opportunities with the objective of meeting the needs of the industrial sector.
