MUSCAT: The total number of COVID-19 cases admitted in various hospitals in the country has touched 311 of whom 88 are in ICU, according to Ministry of Health.
With infection counts increasing on a daily basis, 58 COVID-19 patients have been admitted in various hospitals in the last 24 hours. The country reported another 577 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday and three deaths in the last 24 hours, to take its total count to 149,135 and 1620 deaths.
In an interview with Oman TV, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Hosni said the country is “beginning to see the third wave of the virus.”

“We are beginning to see the third wave. Daily cases are increasing and everyone must abide to reduce these infections,” he added.
