MUSCAT : Galfar Engineering and Contracting has appointed Saif Sulaiman Mohammed Al Yaarubi as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Saif who has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant (FCCA) and a Fellow Member of the Association of the Accounting Technicians (FMAAT).
“He started his career with the Ministry of Defence in Oman in the early 1990’s , and then moved to Dubai in 2000 to join Ernst & Young in Assurance and Advisory. In 2008, he joined Investment Corporation of Dubai, the Dubai Government Sovereign Fund, as its Finance Director , where he was instrumental in the setup and in fund raising for the Company,” Galfar said in a statement.

“In 2013 , he moved back to Oman as Chief Financial Officer with Alizz Islamic Bank, and in 2014 became Chief Operating Officer of the Bank. He moved back to Dubai in 2015 to join as Chief Financial Officer of Kerzner International, a company that manages and promotes luxury global hotel brand. The Company wishes him the very best in his role as Chief Financial Officer,” the statement added.
