MUSCAT : His Excellency Qais Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion has urged citizens and residents to make use of various e-commerce platforms in the country to avoid crowding at malls and supermarkets in the wake of Covid-19 outbreak.
“We encourage everyone to make use of online shopping through the available electronic platforms and to avoid crowding while shopping,” he said during the Supreme Committee press conference early this week.
He also urged commercial establishments to abide by the precautionary measures. “It has been recently noticed by the Ministry that some shopping malls as well as restaurants and cafes are not abiding by the precautionary measures. The responsibility is on everyone and not just the government alone,” he added.
