MUSCAT: The Ministry of Labour will hold a press conference for the first time to reveal the government’s plan for the year 2021.
In a statement issued to Oman TV, Sheikh Nasr bin Amer Al Hosni, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Labour said the government will present its plan for the year, evaluate its performance for the past year with all transparency and clarity, and will implement open data. The press conference will be held on Wednesday, January 27.
”The conference includes announcing job opportunities, and a number of initiatives and procedures that the ministry is working on to correct labour market conditions and achieve a balance between the number of job seekers and the available employment opportunities,” he said.

“The Ministry will also announce a number of decisions related to the resettlement of a number of professions and jobs for job seekers in the public and private sectors, which will be announced successively during this year,” he added.
