MUSCAT: After temporarily closing for 10 months following COVID-19 pandemic, the iconic Star Cinema in Muscat reopened from Wednesday (January 13).
The theatre which is popular among the expatriate community in Oman reopened with Tamil film ‘Master’ starring superstar Vijay.
“It’s good to be back with a movie such as Master. The response from the movie lovers is good,” said Abdulrahman who works with Star Cinema.

Master was released world wide on Wednesday. The movie also stars actor Vijay Sethupathy.
While Star Cinema delayed its reopening, many other cinemas in the country have opened since last month following approval from the Supreme Committee. “We have taken all COVID-19 protocols while opening the theatre,” Abdulrahman added.
