MUSCAT :Ministry of Labour has extended the grace period for expat workers with expired permits to leave the country permanently till March 31, 2021.
In a statement issued, Salem bin Saeed Al Badi, Director General of Labour Welfare at the Ministry of Labour said from November 15, 2020, 57,487 workers with expired permits have registered with the Ministry. “12,378 people have already left,” Al Badi said.
“The grace period has been extended to another three months until March 31, 2021, assuring those wishing to leave permanently to take advantage of the exceptional facilities granted to them before the end of the specified grace period,” Al Badi added.
