MUSCAT: The tenth five-year plan aims to create 135,000 jobs at an average of 27,000 jobs annually in both public and private sectors, according to Oman’s Minister of Economy.
Speaking in an interview with Oman TV, Dr. Said Al Saqri said the five-year plan also aim to increase social welfare and improve the level of per capita income. On Friday, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik approved the five year plan and the Sultanate’s budget for 2021.
“The plan will work to bring out small and medium enterprises to global markets,” Al Saqri pointed out. “The tenth five-year development plan aims to provide 135,000 jobs at an average of 27,000 jobs annually in the public and private sectors. It will work to reduce the deficit by strengthening and diversifying public revenues,” Al Saqri added.
