MUSCAT: In the wake of a new Covid-19 variant spreading across the globe, the Supreme Committee has advised both citizens and residents to avoid travelling abroad.
“The Supreme Committee urges citizens and residents to avoid travel abroad during the coming period unless there is extreme necessity,” the statement from Oman News Agency said.
The direction comes after the committee allowed the Oman borders including airports to reopen after shutting it for one week. The committee also pre-flight PCR tests compulsory for all passengers before arriving in the country and also imposed quarantine procedures for short visits (less than seven days).
