MUSCAT: Oman will lift the subsidies on water and electricity in a phased manner starting from January 1 and the subsidies will be applicable to those who come under the National Subsidy System in Oman.
According to the decision issued by Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Rumhy, Minister of Energy and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Services Regulatory Authority, the new tariff for electricity and water will come into effect from January 1.

- If the family income is OMR 750 or less and the number of family members is five or more.
