Visa-free entry: Citizens from 27 countries including India must follow these guidelines to enter Oman

MUSCAT: As Oman allowed citizens from 103 countries to enter the country without the need of a visa, tourists from 27 countries must meet certain conditions in order to get free entry to the Sultanate, The Arabian Stories has learnt.

In a letter issued by Oman Airports on Wednesday said citizens from countries including India, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco can only enter without visa if they are “residents or have a valid entry visa for United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Schengen Agreement associated countries or Japan.”

Citizens of Uzbekistan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua, Morocco, Armenia, Panama, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkmenistan, Honduras, Guate- mala, Kazakhstan, Laos, Albania, Bhutan, Peru,, Salvador, Mexico, Vietnam, Cuba and Maldives must also meet these conditions to enter the Sultanate.

“Other tourist visas (one month tourism, one year tourism, residents of GCC, and multiple trips ) remain available to the visitors according to the current visa system,” the letter from Oman Airports said.

Early last week, Oman exempted nationals of 103 countries from needing an entry visa for a stay of up to 10 days to boost tourism.
