MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has received the annual report of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution (SFAAI) and its activities for the fiscal year 2019 from Sheikh Nasser bin Hilal bin Nasser Al Mawali, Chairman of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution.
The State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution has also sent copies of the report to the Council of Ministers, Majlis Al Shura and the State Council as stipulated in the Basic Law of the State and Article (29) of the Law of the State Audit Institution, promulgated by Royal Decree No. 111/2011.
The report has covered a number of issues and remarks reached as a result of the audit work on some administrative units of the State, the public departments, establishments and companies under supervision of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Institution along with the final account of the state and the results of execution of the General Budget of the State. The plan of the SFAAI has included 212 tasks on all types of audit (administrative audit, financial audit and performance audit) carried out by the the institution. It has issued 253 audit reports communicated to the parties concerned which dealt with observations and recommendations of the SFAAI.

The report also included additional chapter on the the eight branches of the SFAAI (in Salalah, Sohar, Sur, Nizwa, Al Rustaq, Al Buriami, Ibra and Ibri), which play a vital role in cementing the community partnership in the field of protection of the public money among other issues.
