MUSCAT : Mohsin Haider Darwish (MHD), the official distributor of MG Motor in the Sultanate, opened their latest MG automotive showroom in Ibri. With the inauguration of the new facility, the total number of MG showrooms in Oman has reached six. Currently, MG has showrooms in Wattayah, Athaibah, Al Manuma – Barka, Sohar and Salalah. MHD LLC also plans to open new facilities in the coming months to meet the growing demand of customers and to expand its operations in Oman.

The showroom was inaugurated by H.E. Sheikh Najeb Bin Ali Al-Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahira Governorate. The function was also graced by several other government officials in the presence of the senior management and executive teams of MHD. 

The new showroom, located in the heart of Ibri, has an impressive sales and display area and offers visitors a novel automotive experience. A team of well-trained and dedicated sales professionals have been put in place to provide customers the necessary guidance and support to select their preferred MG cars from an endless combination of colours and trims. The line-up displayed at the Ibri showroom includes all of MG Motor’s best-selling vehicles, including the all-new ZST. Customers to the new showroom in Ibri will also be able to benefit from the ongoing Year-End Bonanza campaign from MG Motors that has been designed for motorists who love to drive and are looking to experience a new driving experience.

Speaking on the sidelines of the showroom’s opening ceremony, Mohsin Hani Al Bahrani, CEO of Mohsin Haider Darwish’s ACERE division (Automotive, Construction Equipment and Renewable Energy), stated: “Through the launch of our new showroom in Ibri, we look forward to strengthen MG Motor’s presence and enable its ambitious growth plans in Oman. Our strategic focus is to develop our network across the region as well as offer our customers in Ibri a unique and best in class experience. With the impending opening of more showrooms, we are optimistic for an even brighter future for the MG brand in the coming years,” he added.

Impressive performances were recorded in Oman, with around four times as many customers buying MG cars compared to the previous year.
