MUSCAT: Students must think beyond borders and ready to take up challenges that would prepare them for post Covid-19 era jobs, according to Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and former Minister of State, Government of India.
Addressing the students at the third edition of Avenir, Tharoor who is also a renowned author
also highlighted the importance of being sensitive and to work for the welfare of others thus proving to be effective leaders of tomorrow.
”Covid-19 will inaugurate an era of de-globalization. You as the young leaders of tomorrow you should not be just managers but problem solvers and change makers,” Dr. Tharoor said in his Keynote address.

The nine-day Avenir 2020 encompassed career talks by high profile professionals from different domains, internationally acclaimed motivational speakers, success stories of illustrious entrepreneurs, insights into developing soft skills to give finesse to one’s disposition and interpersonal relations, and above all, the presentations by more than 50 reputed universities worldwide.
The event consisted of 52 career talks and motivational addresses with a viewership of more than two hundred thousand on YouTube and thirty thousand over ZOOM as on the last day of the event.
