MUSCAT : On behalf of the Embassy of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lankan community in the Sultanate of Oman, I have the honour to extend my warmest greetings to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the government and the friendly people of the Sultanate of Oman on the historic occasion of the 50th National Day.
The Sultanate of Oman has been transformed into a truly progressive, tolerant and peaceful nation over the past five decades under the visionary leadership of Late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and the Sultanate is continued to progress and prosper under the stewardship of His Majesty Sulthan Haitham bin Tarik along with Oman’s Vision 2040.
Sri Lanka and Oman enjoy long-standing historical relations underpinned by mutual understanding and friendship. The bilateral interactions between the two countries have diversified to encompass a wide array of areas for cooperation. People to People connectivity is the bedrock of the relations between the two countries. At this historic occasion of the Sultanate, I am proud to pay a tribute to the past and present members of the Sri Lankan community in Oman for their contributions in different fields to the development of this great nation over the last five decades.

I earnestly look forward to further elevate the bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and the Sultanate of Oman into new heights in the years ahead for the mutual benefit of the two peoples.
