MUSCAT: Bangladesh nationals with a valid visa wishing to return to Oman does not require a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (NOC), the Sultanate’s embassy in Dhaka has clarified on Tuesday.
In the letter, which is available with The Arabian Stories, the Omani embassy denied what was reported in some “social/electronic media that the Bangladeshis willing to return to the Sultanate of Oman need No Objection Certificate from the embassy of the Sultanate in Dhaka as a mandatory process,” the embassy said adding that the news of requiring mandatory NOC is not correct.
“In this context the embassy reiterates and confirms that this circulated news is not correct and not from the authentic source of the Omani authorities,” the letter stated.

The embassy also pointed out that the government of Oman lifted the obligation of NOC on October 1 after the country reopened its airports. “However, the Omani authorities need a PCR test report (Covid-19) to be conducted before 92 hours of travel to Oman under prevailing pandemic situation from 16 Bangladesh government-authorized hospitals/clinics/labs,” the statement added.
