MUSCAT: Starting from November 16, UAE will allow citizens from Oman to move through land borders, state-owned news agency WAM reported on Friday.

“The UAE will allow movement through land borders according to precautionary measures for citizens from the Sultanate of Oman, starting from Monday, November 16, 2020,” WAM said in a statement.

Earlier on Thursday, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi said Oman has opened its borders with neighbouring countries and travel is allowed for Omanis and residents.

Speaking during the Supreme Committee press conference Al Saidi said both citizens and residents must follow the precautionary procedures while travelling. “The borders are open with neighbouring countries, and travel is allowed for Omanis and residents and they must adhere to the announced procedures when travelling and upon returning to the Sultanate,” Al Saidi added.
