MUSCAT : A local electricity company in the country have been ordered to pay over OMR 800,000 to Oman National Engineering and Investment Company (ONEIC) pertaining to a billing contract case.

In a disclosure filed by ONEIC to Muscat Securities Market said a judgement was passed and the electricity company has to pay a total amount of OMR 804,727. However the name of the electricity company has not been revealed.

“The Court of Appeal has passed on 8/11/2020 a judgement in the favour of ONEIC pertaining to the case filed by ONEIC versus Electricity Company for the sum of OMR 804,727. This amount is the current claim related to a billing contract and shall has no effect on the financial results,” the statement from the company which is seen by The Arabian Stories read
