MUSCAT: Starting from November 9, only national airlines Oman Air, Salam Air, Air India and Air India Express are allowed to operate flights between Oman and India as part of the air bubble agreement.

According to top officials, the decision to limit the operations of other private airlines comes after the air bubble agreement was revised between the two countries.

In a statement issued to passengers and travel agents, budget airline IndiGo said: “Kindly be informed that due to revision of Air Bubble agreement between India and Oman from November 9, IndiGo is constrained to limit its flight operations between the two countries from the said date i.e. 9 November 2020.”

According to airline sources, passengers who have booked tickets in private airlines will be given refund of their ticket value.

The India-Oman air bubble agreement will end on November 30.
