Oman to impose fee on transit passengers from January 1

MUSCAT : Starting from January 1, 2021, Oman will impose a transit fee on passengers using the country’s airports.

In a decision issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology said a fee of OMR 3 will be imposed on transit passengers.

The Ministry amended a 2007 Civil Aviation Law which imposed a departure feee of OMR 5 on international flights that excluded transit and domestic passengers.
