MUSCAT : Night movement ban helped reduce the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the country, according to His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health.
“Some may ask why infected cases decrease during the movement ban either partial or full? And the answer is that is because we could stop illegal gatherings,” he said.
“Movement ban outcomes are positive and here is a message to all whatever procedures taken by the Committee are thoroughly considered and evaluated against their pros and cons,” the Minister said.

Al Saidi also said despite warnings, some people are still gathering in places. “We must realise that this virus is largely transferred during gatherings, yet unfortunately some are still not adhering to the Committee’s procedures,” he added.
