MUSCAT :On 12 October 2020, His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq issued Royal Decree No. 121/2020 to introduce the Value Added Tax (VAT) law in Oman at the rate of 5%. VAT is a tax on consumption applied at a basic rate of five percent, to be imposed on goods and services in the Sultanate.
