Oman names and shames seven COVID-19 rule breakers

MUSCAT: Names and photos of seven violators of the COVID-19 precautionary measures were published by Oman’s Public Prosecution on Wednesday.

In a statement issued, PP said the Court of First Instance issued judgements against seven people including five Omanis and two expats for violating the Supreme Committee decisions.

According to PP, the accused violated the movement ban and not wearing mask and breaking the home quarantine rules.

“It ranges from six months in prison and OMR 1,000 fine, while the expats accused will be deported from the country,” the statement added.
