Institutions in Oman allowed to use fingerprint devices to record attendance: Minister

MUSCAT: The Supreme Committee has allowed institutions to use fingerprint devices to record attendance by taking all precautionary measures in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking to the media, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Saidi, Minister of Health said institutions can use fingerprint devices. “The Supreme Committee decided that there is no risk from using the fingerprint device to mark the attendance of employees, provided necessary precautionary measures are taken,” he said on Wednesday.

Oman on Wednesday registered 618 new cases including five deaths.
