MUSCAT : As online job scams are significantly increasing, job seekers have been advised to obtain information about vacancies only through official channels, Ministry of Energy and Minerals said.
According to officials, job vacancies in the oil and gas sector can be obtained from the Ministry’s or the website of Ministry of Labour. The Ministry also warned job seekers about the suspicious links.
“With reference to what is being circulated on various social media from time to time, we would like to point out the need to obtain correct information about employment opportunities in some companies operating in the oil and gas sectors in Oman by referring to the official website and direct search on the oil and gas jobs website http://www.petrojobs.om, or the Ministry of Labour and not through suspicious links that you may receive through social media, e-mail, or others,” Ministry said in a statement.
