MUSCAT : The Royal Oman Police has advised shop owners to implement safety systems and security standards to reduce theft crimes.
The statement from ROP comes after a person was arrested in Al Dhakiliyah Govermorate for stealing from eight commercial stores. “Shop owners must put in place warning devices and must follow preventive and precautionary measures to safeguard their properties,” ROP said in a statement.
In September, over 130 individuals were arrested for 120 theft-related charges across the country.
