MUSCAT : 72 people who gathered illegally at a farm in Bahla and violated the Supreme Committee decisions have been issued a fine of OMR 500 each (total of OMR 36,000) by a court of first instance.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Public Prosecution stated that 72 people gathered at a farm on September 25 ignoring the warnings from health authorities. “They clearly failed to implement the procedures and measures established to prevent the spread of infection or its transmission to others,” the Public Prosecution said.
However, the public prosecution noted that the violation was committed “on a date prior to the Supreme Committee’s decision to publish the photos of the violators.”
