Commenting on the arrival of the latest Audi RS Q8 to Wattayah Motors showrooms, David Ryan, General Manager of Wattayah Motors said, “We are extremely delighted with the arrival of the all-new Audi RS Q8 to our showrooms in the Sultanate. The model’s superior specifications distinguish it from other cars in the same class, with its various specifications that include a powerful engine, modernistic design and an array of innovative technical systems boast of pure sporty performance. The RS Q8 falls under the umbrella of Audi’s sports car segment, which has seen incredible successes over the years, emphasised by the two letters (RS) denoting the German word ‘Renn Sport’ or motorsport. We are confident that the new vehicle will further amaze our valued customers and Audi fans in the Sultanate, due to its premier position at the top of the brand in addition to its impressive capabilities.”
The Audi RS Q8 boasts of a strong presence thanks to its unique design, everyday usability, superior performance and unmatched driving experience. This is enhanced by the addition of an unmatched engine and suspension system developed by the Audi team to enhance the authentic sporty character that distinguishes each of the brand’s models.
Modern efficiency is one of the main objectives that Audi focuses on, which is evident in the RS Q8. It includes a mild plug-in hybrid system based on a 48-volt compact electric system and the V8 TFSI engine with a cylinder shutdown system that improves fuel economy by shutting down half of the cylinders at “low to intermediate load’. All features and functions are as per the RS model standard. An important distinguishable aspect is that during a long-distance drive, there is an option for ‘fine-tuning’, developed especially for RS cars.
Security systems are of prime importance in any Audi vehicle. The RS Q8 is outfitted with an adaptive sports air suspension system, as part of its basic equipment, alongside shock absorbers, making it easy to adapt off-road.
Safety factors include adaptive cruise control, an efficiency-enhancing system, lane-change warnings, emergency braking systems, airbags, ABS and EBD brakes, and the electronic stabilisation system. The latter helps maintain vehicle stability by detecting and reducing sliding spots – or loss of traction – and mitigating them as much as possible.
The Audi RS Q8 also comprises several modern technical systems; such as the Hill Descent Control system, which makes the vehicle descend smoothly down a steep or on rough roads, by adjusting braking pressure to help control slippage, and the 360-degree view cameras system that displays the entire vehicle perimeter, allowing for ease when parking or entering narrow spaces.
The RS models are the dynamic spearheads in Audi’s model portfolio, as is already indicated by their particularly striking exterior design. It is very much inspired by motorsports, combining cool understatement with a dynamic edge. Top performance in motorsports requires more extreme component shapes. It is, therefore, natural that the use of high-performance technologies from motorsports is also reflected in the visual appearance of RS models.
“We would like to invite our customers and Audi brand enthusiasts to visit our showrooms and take a first-hand look at the amazing Audi RS Q8. We also encourage them to request for a test drive to and behold its true power and performance, alongside a unique driving experience,” he added.
