MUSCAT: The Royal Oman Police has thanked citizens and residents for their commitment on day one of movement and urged the public to continue following the directives.
In the wake of rise in coronavirus cases, the Supreme Committee imposed a 14-day nationwide night movement ban to contain the spread of the virus.
“The first day of the movement ban witnessed full commitment from citizens and residents. The Royal Oman Police imposed its presence in all locations in various wilayats to prevent family and social gatherings of all kinds throughout the day, to prevent movement and closing public places from 8 pm until 5 am and monitor them with the support of police aviation and the use of remote control aircraft (drones),” ROP said in a statement.
