MUSCAT: More than 60,000 self-completed transactions were done through online portal ‘Invest Easy’ from January till September 2020, according to Ministry of Commerce and Investment Promotions.

In a statement issued, the Ministry said it will start receiving customer transactions at the investor services halls at its headquarters from October 6.

The service halls were closed due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

“The ministry encourages auditors to complete their transactions electronically, which contributes to the speed of completion of transactions and saves time and effort, as the ministry affirms that it continues to provide its electronic services to investors through the Invest Easy portal, which provides 89 electronic services to investors that can be completed by themselves around the clock and on holidays,” the statement said.

“Investors can also continue to complete their transactions through service delivery centres, including, Sanad centres and law offices,” the statement added.
