MUSCAT: The body of Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Ahmad Al-Sabah who died on Tuesday at the age of 91, was buried on Wednesday at the Sulaibikhat Cemetery.
Funeral prayers were performed at Bilal bin Rabah Mosque before the body was carried by close family members for burial.
The body of Sheikh Sabah arrived today after it was transported from the US on a Kuwait Airways plane and was received by his brother, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, who was sworn-in as the new Emir.
