MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has issued a Royal Decree amending Decree No. 6/2020, regarding the Supreme Committee for National Day celebrations.
The new Royal Decree issued by His Majesty the Sultan is as follows:

The name of the Supreme Committee for National Day Celebrations mentioned in Decree No. 6/2020 referred to shall be replaced by the name of the General Secretariat for National Celebrations
Article 2
A new article shall be added to the aforementioned Royal Decree No. 6/2020, which reads as follows:
Article 3:
An executive committee shall be formed in the General Secretariat for National Celebrations headed by the Secretary-General and the membership of representatives of each of them is not less than the rank of the Undersecretary of the Ministry or the equivalent of the following bodies: The Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade and Industry and Promotion Investment, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Royal Oman Police, and the committee must also include in its membership a representative of the Chief of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and the Royal Protocol.
Article 4
All that contradicts this decree or contravenes its provisions shall be repealed.
