MUSCAT: Travellers arriving into Switzerland from Oman will no longer have to self-quarantine, Swiss health authorities announced on Monday.

The Swiss health authorities announced that Oman would be removed from the list of high-risk countries from September 7.

Switzerland’s threshold for being included on the ‘high risk’ quarantine list is 60 infections per 100,000 inhabitants. There are currently 53 countries on the list.

Apart from Oman, Belgium, El Salvador, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg and Mexico have been removed from the quarantine list.
