MUSCAT: The members of the Supreme Committee (SC) will address the media on Thursday, September 3 at 11 am to discuss the latest developments of the coronavirus outbreak.
On Tuesday, the SC headed by His Excellency Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidy confirmed that the coronavirus infection rate in the country has reduced.
Of the total 85,928 cases registered in the country so far, 81,024 patients have recovered, while there are only 4,904 active cases.

However, SC also cautioned that the hospital occupancy and intensive care unit patients rate are still high.
There are currently 416 patients in hospitals, while 154 Covid-19 cases are in ICU.
