MUSCAT: As the new school year will begin on November 1, the Ministry of Education has decided to train teachers and support groups in using various teaching tools for online learning.

In the wake of Covid-19 in the country, the Supreme Committee has planned to start the school year in November, however, the system of learning will be “blended education” which a mixture of online and in-classroom.

Speaking in an interview with Oman TV, Dr Abdullah bin Khamis bin Ali Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education said all staff will be trained ahead of the school year.

“There will be a training program for teachers and support groups on how to use e-learning platforms and deal with distance learning,” he said.

“Blended education is a mixture between traditional education and distance learning and it will help reduce direct contact between the student and the teacher,” Ambosaidi added.
