MUSCAT: Camping activity at the Daymaniyat Island Nature Reserve will resume only from November, the Environment Authority said.
In a statement issued, due to nesting season, campaign activity is strictly prohibited till end of October. ”The authority would like to remind everyone that from the beginning of May to the end of October, which is the nesting season, camping in the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve is prohibited, provided that camping activity is resumed, starting from the first of November of each year,” the statement said.
“Specialists from the Environment Authority surveyed this morning the beaches of the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve to monitor the reserve and ensured the cleanliness of its beaches, as it noticed the presence of large numbers of birds, including terns and hawks and eagles,” the statement added.
