MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday honoured Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, the former Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs with Royal Commendation Order (first class) for his exemplary services to the nation.
After steering Oman’s diplomacy for 23 years, Bin Alawi stepped down from the role on August 18.
Globally respected by world leaders, Bin Alawi was instrumental in Oman’s emergence as a major diplomatic player.
