MUSCAT: Beauty parlours and barbershops are allowed to reopen in the wake or coronavirus pandemic, however, the Government Communication Centre (GC) has issued guidelines that prohibits certain services.
Following are the services that are prohibited until further notice:
1. All kinds of cosmetic practices that affects the skin
2. Keeping customer’s personal tools in the center or the salon
3. Facial massage and the use of steam
4. Moroccan bath or similar services
5. Removal of facial hair with threading, whether using the mouth or any other method that allows close contact with the face
6. Facial or body hair removal using hair removal machine, unless it is owned by the customer himself/herself
7. Holding photo sessions, parties and social events.
