MUSCAT: An earthquake measuring 5.2 on Richter scale was reported in the Arabian Sea, about 569km away from Salalah on Tuesday.
According to the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC), located at the Sultan Qaboos University the magnitude was at a depth of 10km. “An earthquake in Arabian sea was registered, 569 km away from Salalah in Dhofar governorate, with magnitude of 5.2, at 11:15 pm MCT and at a depth of 10 km,” the statement said.
