MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi who succeeded Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah on Tuesday as Oman’s new foreign minister thanked His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik for his appointment.
In a statement issued, Sayyid Badr said: “My thanks to everyone who has expressed kind and generous congratulations for the high honour of appointment as Foreign Minister. May God grant me success in the service of Oman and His Majesty the Sultan.”
Sayyid Badr was previously the Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).
