MUSCAT: Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs received a phone call from the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gabi Ashkenazi.
In a statement issued by MoFA said Alawi affirmed to Ashkenazi Oman’s position “to achieve a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East and the need to resume the peace process negotiations, and to fulfil the legitimate demands of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
The two ministers also reviewed the latest developments in the region.
