MUSCAT : Popular charity organisation Dar Al Attaa has raised OMR 71,123 to help respond to the explosion in Beirut that has killed more than 157 people, injured thousands and left even more without their homes.
Losses from the blast were estimated by Beirut Gov. Marwan Abboud to be between USD 10 billion to USD 15 billion, who said nearly 300,000 people are homeless.
On Friday, based on the directives of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Oman government sent medical supplies and essential goods to help with the relief efforts.
