MUSCAT: Oman has denied a message that is being circulated on social media about the commencement date of the new school academic year.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Government Communication Centre (GC) termed the message as fake and informed that the authorities will announce the date of new academic year in a timely manner.
“We would like to clarify that the message circulating about announcing the date of the new academic year does not concern the Sultanate, as this has not been disclosed yet. The competent authorities will officially announce the same in a timely manner,” GC said in a statement.
