More than 8,500 Omanis and 3,300 expats infected with Covid-19 in last 10 days

MUSCAT: More than 70 percent coronavirus cases reported in the last 10-days are of Omanis, according to the latest data provided by the Ministry of Health.

A total of 8,619 Omanis have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the last 10 days while 3,348 are expats. According to MOH, 12,057 cases have been registered in the country including 70 deaths.

The Supreme Committee is deeply concerned over the escalating number of coronavirus infected patients and death cases in the country. As the total Covid-19 cases crossed 50,000 in the country, the Supreme Committee expressed its discontent about the lack of commitment by people to preventive measures.

Meanwhile, the total recovered cases in the Sultanate has touched 32,005 after 1,005 cases recovered on Wednesday.
