MUSCAT: His Excellency Munu Mahawar, Indian Ambassador has welcomed Oman’s decision to remove the No Objection Certificate (NOC) rule.
Speaking exclusively to The Arabian Stories, the Ambassador said removing the NOC rule will benefit hundreds of Indians working in the country. “Removing NOC was something the workers wanted but at the same time it will help businesses as well. It’s a win-win proposition for both employer and employee. It will certainly benefit Indian employees working in Oman,” he said.
Starting from January 1, 2021, expats can switch jobs without the need of NOC.

“Oman has taken a number of steps in improving the business climate. This process was started last year including the changes they made in the Foreign Investment Law which has greatly helped Indian businesses to engage more with Oman,” he added.
